Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an experienced software engineer to execute creative technical solutions, troubleshoot complex problems across a reusable-components portfolio, and think beyond routine approaches.

You will review production code, embrace cloud-native architectures, lead design evaluations with vendors and internal teams, and champion adoption of cutting-edge technologies across corporate software engineering.

Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced skills in one or more programming languages, plus proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle and advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
  • Practical cloud-native experience.

  • Builds components to be drop-in and agent-native (for example, via the Model Context Protocol and CLIs) with automated upgrades, so adopters stay current with minimal effort.
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs and applicability for use within existing systems.
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies and shared frameworks.

  • Contributions to open‑source or internal shared‑library ecosystems
