Job summary

GAI's Community Solutions Group in Orlando is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect with ~15 years of experience to lead design for master-planned communities, neighborhoods, and related facilities. The position collaborates across the Community Solutions Group and with other departments to deliver diverse project types.

This role embraces flexible hybrid work and includes a sign-on bonus; travel within Florida is expected up to 15%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited University program.
  • Licensure in the State of Florida.
  • Experience with free-hand sketches, digital rendering; master planning, site planning, and detailed site design; AutoCAD; Land F/X, Adobe Creative Suite; SketchUp, Lumion; Landscape Construction Design; strong written and communication skills.
  • FDOT experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales and client management for existing and new strategic clients.
  • Work with other senior leadership to support and execute GAI's multi-disciplined efforts.
  • Negotiate or assist with negotiating contracts.
  • Contribute to GAI's public profile by actively participating in leadership roles in the community and/or professional organizations.
  • Leading design for master-planned communities and individual neighborhoods.
  • Leading design and production of conceptual design and construction documents for Landscape Architectural projects.
  • Leading in the management of client communication, project staffing and project coordination.
  • Producing project graphics in the plan, section, and 3-D / Perspective views.
  • Conducting site design, inventory, and analysis.
  • Participating in teams and project meetings.
  • Conducting bidding support, RFI's, and Construction Phase Services.
  • Collaborating with our team across a broad range of project types.
  • Some travel is required, mostly driving within the State of Florida (up to 15%).

Job description

GAI's Community Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect with ~15 years of experience in its Orlando office responsible for planning and designing master-planned communities, neighborhoods, and the various community facilities and places within them. Our Landscape Architecture team collaborates with all aspects of our Community Solutions Group service group as well as other departments at GAI Consultants. Our landscape architecture practice works with public, private, and institutional clients to assist with a remarkably diverse array of project types. This position is eligible for our flexible hybrid work schedules and a sign-on bonus.
