Job description

GAI’s Community Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect with ~15 years of experience in its Orlando office responsible for planning and designing master-planned communities, neighborhoods, and the various community facilities and places within them. Our Landscape Architecture team collaborates with all aspects of our Community Solutions Group service group as well as other departments at GAI Consultants. Our landscape architecture practice works with public, private, and institutional clients to assist with a remarkably diverse array of project types. This position is eligible for our flexible hybrid work schedules and a sign‑on bonus.

The Specific Duties of This Position Include

• Provide sales and client management for existing and new strategic clients.
• Work with other senior leadership to support and execute GAI’s multi-disciplined efforts.
• Negotiate or assist with negotiating contracts.
• Contribute to GAI's public profile by actively participating in leadership roles in the community and/or professional organizations.
• Lead design for master-planned communities and individual neighborhoods.
• Lead design and production of conceptual design and construction documents for Landscape Architectural projects.
• Lead in the management of client communication, project staffing and project coordination.
• Produce project graphics in the plan, section, and 3‑D / Perspective views.
• Conduct site design, inventory, and analysis.
• Participate in teams and project meetings.
• Conduct bidding support, RFIs, and Construction Phase Services.
• Collaborate with our team across a broad range of project types.
• Some travel is required, mostly driving within the State of Florida (up to 15%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited University program.
• Licensure in the State of Florida.
• Demonstrated experience with free‑hand sketches, digital rendering; master planning, site planning, and detailed site design; AutoCAD; Land F/X, Adobe Creative Suite; SketchUp, Lumion; Landscape Construction Design; and strong written and communication skills.
• FDOT experience is a plus, but not required.
