Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage design projects in land development engineering, including residential, commercial, industrial, sediment, stormwater management, and utility design.
  • Provide detailed design work and manage project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Work with junior staff and assist in their professional development.
  • Prepare permit applications, pursue approvals, and ensure compliance with land use regulations, especially in Florida.
  • Develop technical proposals, assemble project teams, and build client relationships.
  • Provide expert testimony at public meetings and hearings.
  • Perform contract management, billing, and monitor construction project progress.
  • Utilize strong computer skills, including MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Project is a plus.
  • PE license is required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 9-14 years of professional experience.
  • Appropriate professional certification preferred.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background checks may be required.
Performance Expectations
  • Complete annual training, mentor staff, and develop backup personnel.
  • Maintain client relationships and solicit feedback.
  • Ensure project safety, quality, and compliance, and operate within budget.
  • Manage project performance, deliver projects on time and within scope, and oversee project documentation and reporting.
  • Conduct site visits, prepare concept designs, and interpret technical documents.
