Description

1. Position Summary & Objectives The MicroFill Technician plays a vital role in executing physical manufacturing, material logistics, and procedural controls on the MicroFill development production line. MicroFill is an agile, risk-scaled R&D line rather than a commercial facility. You will balance hands-on assembly, liquid filling, and packaging operations with rigorous material accountability, line clearances, inventory reconciliation, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

2. Key Operational Responsibilities
A. End-to-End Build and Assembly Operations
  • * Phase 1 – Collector Subassembly (CSA): Assist with set up, start-up, and manual/semi-automated execution of tasks across the 13-station CSA manufacturing line.
  • * Phase 2 – Pod Filling Operations: Operate and monitor automated pod filling systems to fill, assemble, and seal vapor cartridges.
  • * Phase 3 – Packaging Operations: Set up and operate packaging machinery for Blister Tray Sealing and Flow Wrap Pouching and execute and document mandatory First Article Inspections, including using leak testing equipment.
B. Material Control, Receiving, & Inventory Reconciliation
  • * Receiving & Verification: Execute receiving checks. Segregate incoming physical shipments, verify counts, inspect container integrity, log details into the tracking database, and label materials with appropriate status.
  • * Line Clearance & Material Segregation: Perform rigid line clearance procedures before and after each R&D run to eliminate cross-contamination risks and ensure zero mix-up between product generations.
  • * End-of-Run Material Reconciliation: Perform exact physical counts of all active, scrapped, and rejected components post-build. Document final reconciliation data in the appropriate sections of Batch Records.
3. Qualifications and Requirements
  • * Education & Experience: High school diploma with 1-3 years of manufacturing, assembly, laboratory, or cleanroom experience (strongly preferred).
  • * Quality & Standards Focus: Comprehension of standard operating procedures, assembly flow diagrams, and drawings. A strong commitment to quality and safety is essential.
  • * Training & Accountability: Must complete and sign all training requirements before working independently on any station.
  • * Physical Requirements: Demonstrated ability to perform fine-motor assembly tasks, sit or stand for extended periods in cleanroom environments, and handle micro-components. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and comfortable wearing standard cleanroom PPE (ESD coat, hairnets, safety glasses, gloves, and beard covers if applicable).
