Sr. Jira Lead Admin

Employment Type: Full-Time, Mid Level

Department: Information Technology

CGS is seeking a talented Jira Lead Administrator passionate about driving transformation in the federal IT domain to join our growing team of technology and software consulting professionals. Strong candidates will have a desire to drive change in the federal space by developing strategies, implementing new technologies, streamlining processes, and enhancing mission value delivery through innovative practices and tools.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  1. Create custom projects in Atlassian tools for complex workflows to meet business needs.
  2. Provide advanced configuration of Atlassian suite to promote CI/CD.
  3. Create and maintain Jira and Confluence collaboration sites (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, documentation pages).
  4. Analyze, research, manage, and implement integrated Atlassian tools, plugins, and applications.
  5. Interface with diverse stakeholders as a liaison and trusted advisor.
  6. Help define system upgrades or replacements.
  7. Gather requirements and optimize business processes.

Qualifications:

  1. 7 years’ experience in systems analysis and design of information systems programs.
  2. 3 years’ experience with Jira and Confluence administration.
  3. 3+ years’ experience with Bamboo and Bitbucket.
  4. Advanced degree in a relevant field plus 3 years of relevant experience.
  5. Knowledge of Agile principles and best practices.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to pass a Background Investigation and obtain Government Security Clearance.
  8. Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator preferred.
  9. Knowledge of Networking, DNS, Databases, APIs, SAML, Akamai.
  10. Experience with Federal agencies, especially DHS, is a plus.
  11. Ability to write custom JQL is a plus.
  12. Experience with SELC and SDLC.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  1. Experience with government software policies.
  2. Client-facing communication skills.
  3. Federal security clearance.
