Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr. Java Full Stack Engineer to lead design and development of next-generation electronic trading systems within a high-performing Trade Management Engineering group.

You will architect distributed, event-driven platforms optimized for low latency and high throughput, and mentor engineers while supporting production environments. Due to client requirements, this is a W2 contract role with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software design and development experience.
• Expertise in Java, Python, and Linux.
• Deep experience with low latency messaging systems such as 29West or Kafka.
• Proficiency in KDB+ or other time-series databases.
• Background in building scalable, distributed, asynchronous, and event-driven applications.
• Advanced knowledge of low latency design patterns and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with Capital Markets or Brokerage systems, especially order management.
• Solid understanding of the FIX protocol and FIX engines.
• Experience with AI developer assist tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, and uDeploy.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications to AWS or other cloud platforms.

Our client seeks a Sr. Java Full Stack Engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation electronic trading systems within a high-performing Trade Management Engineering group. You will support production and non-production environments and participate in an on-call rotation.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2
