Job summary

Myticas Consulting seeks a Senior Java Fullstack Engineer for a contract (W2) role. The candidate can work remotely but must be available for office visits at any listed location across the US.

Expert in Java and TypeScript with deep Spring, database, and messaging middleware experience is required. Strong frontend design, accessibility, and testing skills are essential for delivering secure, scalable web applications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Java full-stack development.
• Expert in Core Java (v8–v17+), TypeScript, and JavaScript (ES2020+).
• Strong Spring ecosystem knowledge (Spring Framework, Spring Security, Spring Integration).
• Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with JMS and messaging middleware (IBM MQ or ActiveMQ).
• Experience designing UI components and design-system architectures across frameworks.
• Proficient in accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).
• Experience with Angular and secure coding practices.
• Hands-on testing expertise (unit, integration, functional) and test automation.
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration with product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement secure web applications with enterprise-grade front- and back-end components.
• Follow lifecycle methodologies, create design documents, and perform coding and testing.
• Uphold secure coding standards and design cross-framework component APIs.
• Able to work with limited supervision and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Engage product teams as a technical partner to drive adoption and resolve issues.
• Serve as technical lead or senior contributor on projects.

Description:

• Full-stack engineer with experience designing, developing, and implementing highly secure web-based applications to support business requirements, including enterprise-grade front-end (JavaScript) and backend (Java) components.
• Follows approved lifecycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs coding and testing.
• Upholds secure coding standards and practices. Demonstrates deep understanding of browser rendering and the DOM. Experience designing frontend component APIs with cross-framework compatibility; components must function correctly in Angular today and remain portable as organizational needs evolve.
• Able to work with limited supervision and applies independent judgment to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Engages product teams as a technical partner to drive adoption. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
• Has hands-on tech lead or senior contributor experience.
• Typically requires 8+ years of experience in the relevant technologies.
