Project Overview

We are seeking multiple highly experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developers to join our team onsite in Reston, VA. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications utilizing a wide range of cutting-edge technologies, primarily within an AWS cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Java full-stack applications.
• Lead and contribute to the development of microservices architecture.
• Implement and utilize messaging and data-streaming platforms.
• Take a hands‑on approach to designing and developing solutions leveraging AWS technologies.
• Utilize strong development skills in Angular, Java, J2EE, Spring, REST APIs, and related server‑side technologies.
• Work extensively with AWS cloud services including Lambda, ECS, Kinesis, DynamoDB/Aurora, Redshift, NodeJS, and more.
• Participate in data modeling and database design.
• Write and execute SQL queries and work with other data languages.
• Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, and JIRA within an Agile Scrum environment.
• Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute to technical documentation.

Mandatory Expertise / Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Java Full Stack development at a senior level.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in microservices development.
• Proficiency in messaging and data‑streaming platforms.
• Strong hands‑on development experience designing and developing with AWS technologies.
• Strong hands‑on development experience in Angular, Java, J2EE, Spring, and REST APIs.
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud development, including but not limited to: Lambda, ECS, Kinesis, DynamoDB/Aurora, Redshift, and NodeJS.
• Experience in data modeling and/or designing databases.
• Proficiency in SQL and other data languages.
• Expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) with tools like Git, Jenkins, and JIRA within an Agile Scrum environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates local to the DC metro area are highly preferred due to the onsite nature of the role.
