Quick Version: Requires full stack development experience in both Java and Angular/AngularJS. Should possess a deep understanding of Java and associated technologies, be proficient in system design and architecture, have experience with modern development tools, and excel in debugging and optimizing complex systems. Additionally, leadership, a proactive personality, and strong interpersonal skills are crucial to the success of this role.

Summary

Requires a passion for leading and building exceptional solutions that deliver and fulfill the needs of customers and drive development into the next growth phase. Will be a core coder of systems, and own the implementation, scalability, and stability of the product. Collaborate with Product Management and other Engineers to design, build and deliver firewall management solutions which make complex firewall security operations simple. You will collaborate closely with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand customers' needs and build products that deliver the outcomes they desire.

Our client, headquartered in Kansas City, delivers industry-leading security policy management, cloud security operations, and cybersecurity asset management solutions. Their security policy management platform is the only real-time solution that reduces firewall and cloud security policy-related risks, manages policy changes, and enforces compliance.

Responsibilities

• Write maintainable code, working in a professional agile software engineering environment (source control, shortened release cycles, continuous integration/deployment, etc.).
• Participate in code reviews and team meetings, providing technical insight.
• Work with a team implementing new features and supporting current services/applications.
• Work on hard problems; design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve services and applications.
• Evaluate modern technologies and approaches to streamline or improve rapid application development tooling and conventions.
• Regularly learn new systems and tools as the client’s platform and ecosystem evolve.
• Utilize a broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline, plus a working knowledge of other related fields.

Requirements

• Full stack development experience in both Java and Angular/AngularJS. Should possess a deep understanding of Java and associated technologies, be proficient in system design and architecture, have experience with modern development tools, and excel in debugging and optimizing complex systems.
• Significant and demonstrable experience with various programming languages, frameworks, and databases.
• Ability to write clean, effective code and enjoys opportunities to learn new skills.
• Creativity and deep technical knowledge to convert what you know and what you learn into a better software product.
• Interest in network security/network security policy management.
• Applicable knowledge of agile development practices and principles.
• Experience designing and implementing domain-level architectures.
