Babich & Associates is seeking a Senior Java Architect to lead architecture for cloud-native platforms while contributing hands-on code. You will mentor developers, influence engineering standards, and drive DevOps maturity across distributed systems.

The role requires 8+ years in Java with 4+ years in architecture, deep Spring knowledge, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure). A competitive base salary is offered with comprehensive benefits in a hybrid, permanent capacity.

• 8+ years of Java development experience, including 4+ years of architecture responsibility.
• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
• Strong experience with JDBC-based data access, REST APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• A record of building microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong MySQL or Aurora SQL skills.
• Experience designing caching strategies, including distributed caching with local fallback.
• Cloud and platform experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling.
• A strong command of system performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• The ability to lead technical decisions from design through implementation.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Salary & Benefits

This is a permanent, full-time, direct-hire hybrid role with a starting base salary of $130,000–$135,000, DOE, plus an excellent comprehensive benefits package that includes:
