The role serves as a strategic partner between technical teams and business stakeholders, articulating complex technical challenges in a clear and actionable manner. It plays a key part in delivering critical business outcomes, creating technology strategies to improve member experience and health outcomes, and establishing governance and architecture review processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization’s transition to Azure Cloud and create a roadmap for scalable cloud architecture.
  • Develop and manage a technology roadmap outlining upgrades, migrations, and modernization plans.
  • Drive adoption of Azure-native services, ensuring optimized performance, cost efficiency, and security.
  • Design and implement a microservices-based architecture to support application modernization, ensuring governance, scalability, and reusability.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to build robust DevOps practices, implement efficient CI/CD pipelines, and promote FinOps for cloud spend optimization.
  • Establish monitoring and observability frameworks for real‑time insights into application and infrastructure performance.
  • Manage and run the Architecture Review Board (ARB) to ensure compliance with enterprise technology standards.
  • Provide technical leadership for RFP processes and vendor evaluation for cloud and application solutions.
  • Define solution contexts, enablers, and key technical components for ART increments, ensuring alignment with product management.
  • Act as a technical liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring alignment of business needs with technical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other architects to ensure consistency and alignment of architectural approaches across the enterprise.
  • Communicate architecture decisions, trade‑offs, and design rationales to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Support Agile teams within the ART and Solution Train, ensuring solutions align with architectural goals and design patterns.
  • Participate in planning sessions, prioritize architectural enablers, and review technical deliverables for compliance with standards.
  • Perform architecture reviews, provide feedback to development teams, and foster continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Identify architectural risks, propose mitigation strategies, and resolve complex architectural challenges.
  • Maintain architecture documentation that serves as a blueprint for development teams and stakeholders.
  • Document and communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
