About the Role
We are seeking an IT Solutions Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient architecture to support our transition to Azure Cloud, microservices architecture, emerging technology, Dynamics 365, and other vendor implementations. The role serves as a strategic partner between technical teams and business stakeholders, articulating complex technical challenges in a clear and actionable manner. It plays a key part in delivering critical business outcomes, creating technology strategies to improve member experience and health outcomes, and establishing governance and architecture review processes.
Responsibilities
- Strategic planning and roadmap development to advocate for smart solutions, evaluate tools, and recommend technologies that align with industry standards, HITRUST compliance, and cloud security best practices.
- Analyze business needs and develop comprehensive technology architecture strategies to support future growth and goals.
- Assess new technologies and their impact on enterprise architecture, recommending solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the organization’s transition to Azure Cloud and create a roadmap for scalable cloud architecture.
- Develop and manage a technology roadmap outlining upgrades, migrations, and modernization plans.
- Drive adoption of Azure-native services, ensuring optimized performance, cost efficiency, and security.
- Design and implement a microservices-based architecture to support application modernization, ensuring governance, scalability, and reusability.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to build robust DevOps practices, implement efficient CI/CD pipelines, and promote FinOps for cloud spend optimization.
- Establish monitoring and observability frameworks for real‑time insights into application and infrastructure performance.
- Manage and run the Architecture Review Board (ARB) to ensure compliance with enterprise technology standards.
- Provide technical leadership for RFP processes and vendor evaluation for cloud and application solutions.
- Define solution contexts, enablers, and key technical components for ART increments, ensuring alignment with product management.
- Act as a technical liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring alignment of business needs with technical capabilities.
- Collaborate with other architects to ensure consistency and alignment of architectural approaches across the enterprise.
- Communicate architecture decisions, trade‑offs, and design rationales to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Support Agile teams within the ART and Solution Train, ensuring solutions align with architectural goals and design patterns.
- Participate in planning sessions, prioritize architectural enablers, and review technical deliverables for compliance with standards.
- Perform architecture reviews, provide feedback to development teams, and foster continuous improvement and innovation.
- Identify architectural risks, propose mitigation strategies, and resolve complex architectural challenges.
- Maintain architecture documentation that serves as a blueprint for development teams and stakeholders.
- Document and communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and cloud platforms (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect) preferred.
- DevOps certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture or related roles.
- Proven expertise in Azure Cloud services, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Solid understanding of FinOps and cost‑optimization practices.
- Experience in managing Architecture Review Boards and setting technology standards.
- Strong understanding of solution and enterprise architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Expertise in system integration, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, and APIs.
- Proficiency with relevant programming languages and technologies (Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript frameworks, etc.).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including automation, testing, and infrastructure as code.
- Knowledge of databases, data architecture, and data modeling techniques.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and drive technical decisions across multiple teams.
- Excellent communication skills, conveying complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- In‑depth knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and experience working within a SAFe environment.
Key Skills & Experience
- Hands‑on technical skills with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, HL7/FHIR, APIs, microservices, and web integrations.
- Power Platform experience, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, RPA, and optionally Copilot agents.
- Strong grasp of cloud‑native data architecture patterns and platforms—firewalls, gateways, Infrastructure as Code, SaaS models, data lakes, ontologies, Dataverse, Fabric, Data Mesh, Data Factory, Purview.
