Role Overview

As we modernize our infrastructure and migrate from a traditional data center environment to Microsoft Azure Cloud, we are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to drive this transformation while ensuring architectural integrity, scalability, and alignment with our strategic goals. The Enterprise Architect will lead the design and evolution of our enterprise-wide architecture with a specific focus on cloud migration, data platform modernization, and intelligent healthcare solutions. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, DevOps, and business leaders in an Agile and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment to shape a future-proof technical foundation using technologies like Azure Cloud, Java, Spark, Kubernetes, and AI/ML.

Key Responsibilities
Architectural Leadership

Define and evolve the enterprise architecture roadmap aligned with strategic business goals and regulatory requirements. Lead architectural planning and decision-making across Agile release trains and solution trains in accordance with SAFe principles. Identify and prioritize technical debt across the enterprise; define and lead remediation strategies in coordination with engineering and product teams to improve long-term maintainability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Cloud Strategy & Implementation

Oversee the migration of systems and applications from on-premises to Azure Cloud, focusing on scalability, security, and performance. Promote cloud-native design patterns, leveraging Azure PaaS/IaaS services and DevOps automation. Design enterprise integration patterns that ensure secure, scalable data exchange across systems and external data partners.

Data & AI Architecture Design

Design data platforms for large-scale healthcare analytics using Apache Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake. Guide integration of machine learning and AI models into enterprise workflows for automation and decision intelligence.

Agile & SAFe Delivery

Serve as an architectural leader within Agile teams, actively participating in PI (Program Increment) planning, system demos, and backlog grooming. Foster a culture of continuous delivery, feedback, and architectural agility. Align architecture with SAFe’s Lean-Agile principles, supporting Agile Release Trains (ARTs) with architectural guidance and guardrails.

Governance & Compliance

Define architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices. Ensure system design and data handling comply with HIPAA, SOC, HITECH, HITRUST, and other healthcare regulations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with product owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to define high-level solution intent and system architecture. Mentor and support technical teams to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and Agile delivery goals.
