Job summary

Ameren is seeking an experienced IT/Digital Project Manager to lead technology projects across diverse areas. The role requires balancing predictive/waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery while coordinating business, technical, and vendor teams.

You will manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and changes, and report progress to leadership. A PMP is preferred but not required, and a hybrid work environment is supported.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in medium to large organizations.
• Experience leading technology projects using predictive/waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery models.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and cross-team dependencies.
• Strong planning, scheduling, financial, risk, issue, and change management skills.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT/Digital projects from planning through closure.

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, forecasts, RAID items, and status reporting.
• Coordinate activities and dependencies across business, technical, and vendor teams.
• Manage concurrent projects spanning applications, data, integrations, infrastructure, and vendor solutions.
• Facilitate project meetings, governance, and change control.
• Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, and variances.
• Communicate status, risks, issues, and decisions to stakeholders and leadership.
• Drive accountability for project commitments and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to Ameren project governance and control processes.

Position Overview

Ameren is seeking an experienced IT/Digital Project Manager to lead technology projects and initiatives across a variety of areas. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded Project Manager who can manage multiple concurrent projects, work effectively with business and technical teams, and adapt their approach across predictive/waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery models.

Key Responsibilities

Lead IT/Digital projects from planning through closure.

Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and changes.

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, forecasts, RAID items, and status reporting.

Coordinate activities and dependencies across business, technical, and vendor teams.

Manage concurrent projects that may span applications, data, integrations, infrastructure, vendor solutions, and other technology initiatives.

Facilitate project meetings, decisions, governance, and change control.

Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, and variances.

Communicate project status, risks, issues, and decisions to stakeholders and leadership.

Drive accountability for project commitments and escalated issues when appropriate.

Ensure projects follow applicable Ameren project governance and control processes.

Qualifications

5+ years of Project Management experience in medium to large organizations.

Demonstrated experience managing technology projects using predictive/waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches.

Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and cross-team dependencies.

Strong project planning, scheduling, financial management, risk, issue, and change management skills.

Experience working with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.

Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Jira.

Ability to understand technical concepts without needing to be the technical subject matter expert.

PMP preferred but not required.

Degree preferred but not required.
