Matlen Silver is seeking a Sr IT Governance Analyst in Durham, NC to lead IT governance, risk and controls for a multi-year program. The role requires strong governance, risk, and compliance experience along with exposure to AI initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in governance, 1–2 years in AI, and practical knowledge of NIST/NAIC processes. You will coordinate audits, improve SDLC controls, and partner with leaders across the organization to strengthen IT risk management.

Job Summary:

Utilizing broad expertise in governance, controls, and risk management, serves as subject expert and provides effective counsel to leaders and business areas on IT controls and audits. Responsible for IT software development lifecycle process improvement, documentation, and the implementation of the controls. Responsible for oversight and coordination of the audit process within IT while working collaboratively with other business areas and external firms to ensure effective communication and management of audits. Identifies systemic weaknesses in IT controls, provides guidance on actions for resolution and escalates issues as needed to get the resources to address issues. Responsible for creating, implementing and managing processes, policies, procedures, standards, and controls for IT risk management Leads IT process change initiatives that are highly complex, have critical dependencies with other change initiatives or established processes, and impact multiple divisions within the organization Manages and prioritizes overall portfolio of change initiatives and collects inputs to define future change initiatives.
