Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr IT Governance Analyst to counsel on IT controls, risk management, and audits. You will partner with the AI Center of Excellence to align internal AI development with governance standards and support process improvements across the software development lifecycle.

You will coordinate audits with internal stakeholders and external firms, identify control weaknesses, and implement policies and controls.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of IT governance experience including risk and compliance.
• 1 to 2 years of AI-related governance exposure preferred.
• Hands-on with NIST and NAIC frameworks; able to navigate governance forums.
• Audit coordination with internal stakeholders and external firms.
• Exposure to IBM watsonx and Microsoft Copilot is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject expert on IT governance, controls, and risk management for leaders and business areas.
• Drive improvements to the software development lifecycle, including documentation and control implementation.
• Oversee and coordinate IT audits, ensuring effective communication with internal teams and external firms.
• Identify systemic IT control weaknesses, recommend remediation actions, and expedite to secure resources.
• Create, implement, and manage IT risk management processes, policies, procedures, standards, and controls.
• Lead complex IT process change initiatives with cross-division impact and critical dependencies.
• Manage and prioritize a portfolio of change initiatives and gather inputs to define future efforts.
• Collaborate with the AI Center of Excellence to apply governance guidelines and standards for traditional, generative, and agentic AI solutions.

Our client seeks a Sr IT Governance Analyst to provide counsel on IT controls, risk management, and audits. • Audit coordination experience with internal stakeholders and external firms.
• Preferred exposure to tools such as IBM watsonx and Microsoft Copilot.
• Industry experience in healthcare, health plan, or insurance preferred.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree. In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of related experience.
