As a Sr IT Business Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in a rapidly growing international healthcare company, leveraging your expertise in the medical device market to gain independence in your work. You'll join a dedicated global team at Medtronic, a leader in medical technology and healthcare solutions. Our Cranial and Spinal Technologies business develops life-restoring technologies and solutions for Neurosciences, Neurosurgery, and Spine, from early interventions to implantable surgical therapies.

Main Responsibilities

This role requires a highly motivated individual to deliver and support IT solutions within the CST Business group. As part of the CST IT team, you'll focus on designing and implementing solutions for our e-commerce platform and integrated systems like SAP, Informatica, Snowflake, and webMethods, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Engagement and Strategy: Engage with business leaders to understand how strategies and data-driven changes can improve efficiencies and add value.
  • IT Functional SME: Act as an IT functional SME for Regional CST businesses (Japan, ANZ, etc.) in dealing with production issues and engaging in requirement/product improvement discussions with the business.
  • Liaison and Support: Act as a liaison between business and IT, providing production support, analyzing issues, and identifying root causes. Collaborate closely with IT implementation partner teams on development and support activities.
  • Solution Design and Implementation: Lead and coordinate enhancements with business and IT stakeholders and implementation partners. Work with cross-functional teams, SAP systems, and platform teams to build best-in-breed solutions. Drive the business agenda during solution delivery.
  • Collaboration and Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with Business stakeholders, SMEs, and IT Product Owners/Managers to develop detailed business requirements for system changes. Participate in requirement gathering sessions, story writing, script creation, and reviews.
  • Project Involvement: Engage in the SDLC for enhancements, including story hand-off, writing test scripts, conducting integration testing, UAT support, data loading, and defect management.
  • Data Management: Engage with regional business and IT teams to set up and manage master data requirements. Work with data sets to define use cases to improve products, processes, and services.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Bring new ideas and improvements to existing IT solutions. Stay up to date with the latest e-commerce technologies.

  • Leadership and Mentoring: Experience leading teams, mentoring junior analysts, managing projects.
  • Change Management: Skills in managing organizational change, including communication and training.
  • Vendor Management: Experience managing external vendor relationships.
  • Agile Methodologies: Proficiency and experience in Agile teams.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Focus on understanding and meeting customer needs.
  • Technical Writing: Ability to create clear technical documentation.
  • Risk Management: Experience in risk assessment and mitigation in IT projects.

Competency

  • Proficiency in Japanese and English: Read, write, and communicate proficiently in Japanese for business conversations.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong abilities, continuous learning, proficiency in data models and SQL.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective team communication skills.

Education

  • 4+ years of experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent, or an advanced degree with at least 2 years relevant experience.
