Job Summary:
The Senior IT Architect will be responsible for defining and managing the technology strategy and direction of one or more large-scale projects or programs within a sub-function of Mckesson Technology. The role will provide leadership and oversight to ensure successful delivery of complex solutions across multiple business units. This position will collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements, while also ensuring alignment with overall enterprise architecture strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor teams in designing, developing, testing, and deploying solutions on the Salesforce CRM eco systems.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets; track progress against plans.
  • Collaborate with other architects, developers, business analysts, project managers, and other team members.
  • Provide expertise on technology options and recommend best practices for solution designs.
  • Ensure that all user requirements are captured and documented in detailed specifications.
  • Participate in Salesforce CRM code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Manage external vendors and contractors who may be working on portions of projects.
  • Identify areas where existing systems can be improved upon through enhancements or additions.
  • Research new technologies and make recommendations as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:Degree or equivalent andtypically requires 10+ years ofrelevant experience. Less yearsrequired if has relevant Master’sor Doctorate qualifications.

Critical Skills

  • 8 years of professional experience in software development, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and demonstrates success leading and delivering large-scale IT projects.
  • Experience with Salesforce Cloud (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Health Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud)
  • Experience with AI Technologies like Agentforce AI, Google AI, Chatgpt, Gemini etc.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.
  • Proficiency with database management systems including SQL and NoSQL.
  • Knowledge of web services and service-oriented architecture.
  • Understanding of data integration techniques and tools.
  • Solid grasp of IT security principles and best practices.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
