Arcadis U.S. Inc. is hiring a Senior Interior Designer for corporate workplace interiors. The role leads projects from concept through FF&E, finishes, documentation, and implementation, presenting to clients and guiding multidisciplinary teams.

We seek a designer who can mentor junior staff, coordinate across teams, and translate concepts into buildable solutions with strong Revit, InDesign, and visualization skills.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in workplace interiors and corporate office design.
• Ability to lead interior design projects and design teams through multiple project phases.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, InDesign, rendering/visualization tools, and drafting/detailing.
• Strong knowledge of FF&E, furniture, finishes, materials, specifications, and trends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of workplace interiors concepts from early design through documentation and implementation.
• Coordinate workplace planning, interior design concepts, FF&E selection, finishes, and detailing.
• Develop cohesive design solutions aligned with client goals, budget, and schedule.
• Prepare and review design packages, finish boards, furniture plans, and specifications.
• Present design concepts to clients and communicate the design vision across the project.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, consultants, vendors, and manufacturers to coordinate design intent.
• Provide design direction and mentorship to junior designers and project team members.
• Participate in internal design reviews to maintain design quality and documentation.

Role description

This is a Senior Interior Designer role focused on corporate workplace interiors. The person will lead projects from early concept and space planning through FF&E, finishes, documentation, and implementation. They're looking for someone who is both a strong designer and a project/design leader who can present directly to clients, coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior designers, and translate design concepts into buildable solutions. Strong Revit, InDesign, FF&E, materials/finishes, documentation, and visualization experience is key.

Role accountabilities

• Lead the development and execution of workplace interiors concepts from early design through documentation and implementation.
• Lead and coordinate:
  • Workplace planning and interior design concepts
  • FF&E selection, specification, and coordination
  • Finish and material development
  • Design documentation, detailing, and specifications
  • Presentation materials, design narratives, and visualization
• Develop cohesive design solutions that respond to client goals, workplace strategy, brand, functionality, budget, and schedule.
• Lead the preparation and review of design packages, finish boards, furniture plans, specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Present design concepts and recommendations to clients and effectively communicate the design vision throughout the project.
• Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, consultants, vendors, and manufacturers to coordinate design intent and resolve project issues.
• Provide design direction, guidance, and mentorship to junior designers and other members of the project team.
• Participate in internal design reviews and quality reviews to maintain a high level of design and documentation.
• Support the NY Workplace Studio through client engagement, design initiatives, presentations, and pursuit efforts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong professional experience in workplace interiors and corporate office design.
• Demonstrated ability to lead interior design projects and design teams through multiple project phases.
• Advanced proficiency in:
  • Revit
  • InDesign
  • Rendering / visualization tools
  • Drafting and detailing
• Strong knowledge of FF&E, furniture systems, finishes, materials, specifications, and workplace design trends.
• Strong design sensibility with the ability to translate concepts into cohesive, thoughtful, and buildable solutions.
• Excellent graphic, presentation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Comfortable presenting to and collaborating directly with clients, consultants, vendors, and project teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and project deadlines while maintaining design quality and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
