Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is seeking a Sr. Instrument Technician to calibrate and document instruments used in manufacturing and analytical labs in the East area of Puerto Rico.

This role requires an Associate degree in Instrumentation and involves calibration, PM, repair and troubleshooting of process control systems, with a 12-hour shift from 5:00am to 5:30pm.

Qualifications

  • GxP documentation experience and traceability
  • Basic calibration of temperature, pressure, level and analytical instrumentation
  • Sanitary diaphragms and gaskets replacement skills
  • Autoclave/glasswasher operation and maintenance
  • Technical documentation and record-keeping skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced calibrations of instruments on process and utility equipment.
  • Maintain an up-to-date spare parts inventory for equipment/systems.
  • Ensure calibration paperwork, instrument files and work orders are complete and accurate.
  • Evaluate and adjust calibration cycles to optimize the program.
  • Develop and maintain a training program to expand team knowledge.
  • Develop, revise and review SOPs for related areas; install, configure and start-up instruments and controllers; troubleshoot hardware/software issues.

We’re seeking a Sr. Instrument Technician to work with one of our top biotechnologyindustry clients in the East area of PR.

***ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN INSTRUMENTATION IS REQUIRED***

In this role you’ll be responsible performing/providing calibration, documentation of instruments and equipment used in manufacturing, utility plants, and analytical labs. In addition, will support the new product introduction, execution of calibration PM, repair activities and troubleshooting equipment and system.

Schedule: Available to work 12 hrs. shift (5:00am to 5:30pm)
Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced calibrations of instruments on process and utility equipment.
  • Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/systems.
  • Ensure that calibration paperwork, instrument files and work order documentation is completed with accurate information.
  • Evaluate the current calibration cycles and make appropriate changes to optimize the calibration program.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed training program for the team in order to develop team's knowledge in all areas of the plant.
  • Develop, revise, and review SOPs for related areas. Design, install, configure, and start-up multiple instruments and microprocessor based controllers used for process control. Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems for computer based process control systems.
