Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team. The Senior Instructional Designer will play a key role in developing and delivering engaging learning experiences that focuses on workforce performance and application of skills. This individual will collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and Training and Development team members to design and develop effective instructional materials and learning experiences utilizing instructional design and learning experience principles, adult learning theory, critical thinking, and leveraging the latest educational technologies.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Develop and design learning solutions that are engaging, innovative, and responsive to the needs of various learners.
  • Apply critical thinking to analyze complex learning needs and define measurable learning objectives.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to gather and analyze information.
  • Design instructional strategies and develop a variety of instructional materials, such as e-learning courses, simulations, videos, assessments, job aids, and instructor-led training materials.
  • Utilize ID/UX/ and other design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to guide the development process and ensure effective learning outcome while taking into consideration the overall experience of learners interacting with learning materials and systems, focusing on intuitive navigation, usability, accessibility, and aesthetic appeal to enhance learner satisfaction and engagement
  • Incorporate the latest educational technologies and interactive elements to enhance learning experiences.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools for learning solutions.
  • Ensure learning solutions are scalable and adaptable to different learning modalities and platforms.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in design, learning technology.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • In addition to formal education, acquiring skills such as project management, communication, critical thinking, and initiative to learn new methods and approaches

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as an Instructional Designer, with at least 4 years in prior, similar roles.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing a variety of learning materials and modalities.
  • Expertise with a variety of with e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Experience with multimedia development tools and graphic design software.
  • Applied knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to analyze complex problems and propose creative solutions.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

  • Certifications preferred
  • E-Learning and Instructional Design;User Experience Design; Learner Centered Design
