Job Overview

Designing Innovative Learning from Start to Finish | Supporting Frontline Teams and Leaders

We’re looking for a Senior Instructional Designer who can take a learning project from intake to launch—handling everything from analysis and design to implementation and feedback. We're evolving and innovating our portfolio and, in this role, you’ll create training using a variety of tools. Our mission is to create real and relevant learning programs that help employees and leaders succeed in a variety of customer support and sales roles, whether they work in stores, online, or over the phone.

You’ll be expected to work independently and be tenacious in partnering with stakeholders and smes to move projects forward. You’ll be using modern tools—including generative AI—to design training and help others learn how to use those tools effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full design process for a training intake —from analysis to launch deadline, tracking work in WorkFront and doing progress updates daily/weekly
  • Create learning modules that can stand alone or can be integrated into a bigger training program
  • Build training for people in customer service and retail, across different locations and work environments
  • Use tools like Articulate 360, ChatGPT, Synthesia, and Second Nature or other LXP portals to design smarter, faster—and build training to teach others how to use them too
  • Update older training materials to keep things current and easy to use while keeping Trainers updated
  • Work with experts, teammates and legal to make sure training is accurate and helpful
  • Load content into LMS and test to ensure the smoothest learner experience.
  • Suggest and try new training tools like video, voice, or interactive elements
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Work Experience:
  • 4-7 years Instructional Design experience. (Required)
  • Experience designing training for people working directly with customers or managing teams preferred
  • Confidence working on your own and managing multiple projects
  • A track record of success with project examples you’ve led end to end preferred

New York Pay Range $81,000 to $109,600

California Pay Range $85,100 to $115,100

Colorado Pay Range $80,200 to $108,600

Base Pay Range: $72,200 - $130,300

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
