Job summary

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Center Operations across multiple locations.
  • Expertise in data center infrastructure: servers, storage, networking, power/cooling, virtualization.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Grafana.
  • Strong problem solving, documentation, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.

  • Manage Windows Server-based systems across data centers and clouds.

  • Participate in automation, monitoring, and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support for data center operations as required.

We’re actively seeking a talented Sr. Infrastructure Platform Engineer – Data Center to join our Data Center Services team in Newport Beach, CA. This role is on-site.

As a Sr. Infrastructure Platform Engineer – Data Center, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and monitoring of our data center infrastructure across various locations. You will ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our data center systems, and work to optimize and automate processes to improve efficiency.

How you'll help move us forward:

Design, implement, maintain, and monitor global data center environments to ensure physical infrastructure remains secure, available, reliable, and performant.

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable IT infrastructure solutions across multiple regions.

Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure Windows Server-based systems across data centers and cloud environments in multiple regions globally.

Design, deploy, and maintain rack and cabinet layouts, structured cabling, labeling standards, rack elevations, equipment placement, and cable management across multiple regions.

Install, move, and decommission data center hardware, including rack-and-stack activities, physical infrastructure project support, and end-of-life clean-up.

Provide escalation support for complex rack, cabling, power, cooling, and environmental issues, coordinating with operations, facilities, security, and vendor partners to resolve incidents and support scheduled maintenance.

Provide escalation support for complex server issues, collaborating with operations and support teams to resolve incidents efficiently.

Partner with Facilities and electrical/mechanical vendors to support power distribution, UPS, ATS, generator, cooling, airflow, and redundancy requirements.

Define, communicate, and enforce global data center standards, safety practices, hardening guidelines, and compliance requirements for the physical infrastructure environment.

Collaborate with Systems, Network, Storage, Facilities, Security, and vendor teams to plan, coordinate, and execute infrastructure deployments across global locations.

Develop and maintain accurate documentation, rack elevation diagrams, cable schedules, capacity tracking tools, procedures, and operational records for global data centers.

Participate in automation, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and process modernization efforts that reduce manual work, improve consistency, and strengthen operational efficiency.

Support capacity planning, performance optimization, monitoring, backup readiness, maintenance activities, and continuous improvement across server, storage, and physical data center platforms.

Mentor junior engineers and promote safe, standardized, and disciplined execution of physical infrastructure work.

Stay current with data center technologies, industry practices, and operational trends to support innovation and modernization.

Participate in the on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support for data center operations as required

The experience you bring:
BS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

8+ years of working in Data Center Operations for multiple locations.

Expertise in data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power/cooling systems, virtualization, hyper converged infrastructure.

Experience with monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Grafana).

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$167,670.00 - $204,930.00
