Job summary

The Queen's Health Systems is seeking an IT leader to support complex, high-risk applications and provide technical oversight of information systems in designated areas. You will guide procedures, set priorities, and lead planning for short and long-term initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY:
  • Supports complex, high-risk application/systems in assigned area(s).
  • Provides technical expertise and oversight of information systems of moderate to high complexity in designated area(s).
  • Provides technical expertise and guidance in formulation of procedures and best practice for users, setting priorities and technical direction.
  • Supervises and directs work of assigned staff.
  • Leads information system planning, both short and long term in assigned area.
  • Monitors activities to ensure coordination and management of projects and work assignments meet established dates and timelines.
  • Works with PMO to coordinate the implementation of related systems/applications when needed.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Information Sciences/Computer Science or related field; or four (4) years of information technology related experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
  • Training or experience in advanced analysis and design techniques.
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
  • Based on area of assignment, must successfully complete and maintain certification(s) in the application(s) assigned, and as may be specified per the training agreement.
C. EXPERIENCE:
  • In addition to the educational requirement, must meet one (1) of the following:
    • o Six (6) years of experience in specific IT area of responsibility.
    • o Four (4) years of Epic experience plus two (2) Epic certifications/accreditations.
  • Two (2) years IT project management experience preferred.
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Expertise in specific areas of responsibility in IT.
  • Knowledge and ability to lead projects/initiatives of moderate complexity.
