Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Sr Industrial Engineer for the Leo Tooling and GSE facility to drive production layout planning and facility development.

You will develop CAD models, rate calculators, and equipment lists to optimize production flow, while aligning with area leaders, architects, and internal real estate teams to meet timelines and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or other related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in production layouts in aerospace and or complex, high volume production.
• 3+ years of experience in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-level CAD models, rate calculators, and equipment lists for production and product flow through the factory.
• Drive a unified production vision across a variety of different product lines within available constraints.
• Deliver plans for layout and construction of factory cells based on co-development with area leaders to various stakeholders including architects, general contractors and internal Amazon real estate teams.
• Work with internal and external teams to deliver rate capable facilities to meet timelines.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

This role will be responsible for the heartbeat of satellite production facility delivery. They will develop and deliver plans for facility layout and function, and will unite production teams to achieve mission success. This individual will work with a wide variety of contractors, technicians, engineers, architects, and Amazon leaders to develop and deliver a vision that meets our satellite production goals.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
• Experience with the project management of technical projects

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
