Job summary
Crawford Electric Supply in Houston, TX is seeking an Indirect Spend Analyst to help optimize procurement and financial performance. You will analyze spend across IT, marketing, facilities, travel, and more, build dashboards, and monitor trends to identify savings opportunities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- Five+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, financial analysis, spend analysis, or supply chain management.
- Experience with indirect spend categories.
- Experience in multi-site or large corporate environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Spend Analysis and Reporting: Analyze indirect spend across IT, marketing, facilities, travel, fleet, office supplies, professional services, telecommunications, and MRO.
- Strategic Sourcing Support: Assist with RFQs, RFPs, and supplier selection; benchmark to support decisions.
- Vendor and Contract Management: Maintain supplier databases; track renewals and SLAs; monitor performance.
- Financial Analysis: Perform TCO analyses; measure savings; support budgeting, forecasting, and accruals.
- Process Improvement and Compliance: Improve procurement workflows; ensure policy compliance; support system implementations.

- Analyze indirect spend across categories such as IT, marketing, facilities, travel, fleet, office supplies, professional services, telecommunications, and MRO.
- Develop and maintain spend dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators.
- Monitor spending trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting activities.
- Assist with requests for quotation, requests for proposal, and supplier selection processes.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to support sourcing decisions.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and quantify financial impacts.
- Develop business cases for sourcing initiatives and vendor consolidation opportunities.
- Maintain supplier databases and contract repositories.
- Track contract compliance, renewals, and pricing agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and service-level agreements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve supplier-related issues.
- Perform total cost of ownership analyses.
- Measure savings generated from sourcing and procurement initiatives.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and accrual processes.
- Analyze purchase order and invoice data for accuracy and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement workflows and controls.
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
- Support implementation and optimization of procurement systems and tools.
- Assist with audit requests and documentation requirements.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience
- Five or more years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, financial analysis, spend analysis, or supply chain management.
- Experience working with indirect spend categories.
- Experience in multi-site or large corporate environments preferred.
- Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Eclipse, or JD Edwards.
- Familiarity with procurement platforms such as Esker, or Ariba.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical and data visualization skills.
