Sr. In-Market Healthcare Analytics Consultant

Position Summary

Responsible for analyzing data to identify opportunities, improve patient outcomes, and translate those improved outcomes into business results. Utilizes skills and understanding of healthcare data, analytic techniques, and population health to create unique, scalable solutions to meet client demands. Uses data from multiple sources (i.e. medical claims, labs, pharmacy, EHR, etc.) to quantify baseline performance, identify opportunities, and the root causes. Collaborates with cross-functional teams in the development and execution of all deliverables. Serves as the first point of contact for data needs.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Fosters client satisfaction through the development of standard and ad-hoc deliverables and as necessary ensuring resolution to all issues surrounding products and services.
  • Establishes strong, long-lasting, consultative relationships with clients and looks for ways to extend and expand the client relationship. Guides client expectations and escalations.
  • Partners with in-market operations leadership and Medical Director to develop the operational strategy and tactics.
  • Regularly connects with in-market teams to prioritize focuses based on evolving client needs and goals.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for the team, advising clients on how to implement workflows that utilize Lumeris insights in clinical workflows, and speaks to the differentiating factors used in Lumeris models.
  • Provides technical direction and interprets insights for the market account team while collaborating with client partners to guide relationships and impact value.
  • Collaborates with the client and our operations team to achieve mutually defined goals.
  • Maintains a strong customer focus and is committed to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Obtains and utilizes customer information for improvements in products and services.
  • Uses a variety of methods, tools, and resources to solve complex problems with effective solutions. Communicates findings, next steps, recommendations, and/or solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, etc.) or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in healthcare data analytics or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role
  • Proven ability to utilize analytics tools including SQL, SAS, SPSS, and/or open source including Python and R, or similar
  • Capable of writing complex SQL queries and programming within a Microsoft Technology environment
  • Solid ability to query and extract data from a complex data warehouse using SQL and/or ETL tools
  • Effective critical thinking and data management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large data and self-direct in analysis to reach recommendations and conclusions
  • Thorough knowledge of the healthcare domain, and healthcare data (claims and clinical)
  • Ability to learn new technologies, and contribute to areas such as infrastructure, administration, and project management
  • Strong understanding of data model approaches to be able to discuss the pros/cons of each with our clients and data architects and create business requirements
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external customers and a strong service orientation with willingness to go the extra mile to meet client needs
  • Familiarity with HEDIS & CMS care quality measures and implementing these measures
  • Solid learning agility and ability to think creatively when looking for solutions

Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare or population health sector

Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay rate include your specific skills, experience, qualifications, location, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to the base salary, certain roles may qualify for a performance-based incentive and/or equity, with eligibility depending on the position. These rewards are based on a combination of company performance and individual achievements.

The hiring range for this position is:

$113,800.00-$154,525.00
