A leading logistics company based in Memphis is seeking a professional to provide entry services for FedEx Express, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and fostering customer relationships. This remote position requires a high school diploma, with preference for candidates possessing business acumen and regulatory knowledge. Candidates must excel in communication and time-sensitive environments.
This position is responsible for various assigned tasks, providing FedEx Express and their customers with required entry services and promoting exceptional customer service by securing relationships with express and their customers. The role facilitates entry processing and cage functions to ensure the timely and accurate release of shipments according to CBP and OGA regulations and time frames.
Serves as the primary link between FedEx Express and FTN for account/shipment-specific issues. Completes various audit activities, including complex EWSRs, high duty, ABI warnings, errors, census rejects, high-entered value, duty verification, and other FTN audit functions, as well as FDA audits. Records and tracks complex audit issues to initiate corrective actions, working with FedEx Trade Networks FDA, tech services, and quality assurance groups. Sorts and assigns incoming departmental work and monitors daily workflow to meet regulatory timeframes, avoiding potential costs from liquidated damages and additional duties. Refers major problems to the manager. Corresponds in writing or by telephone with shippers, clients, and government agencies regarding documentation issues that could result in significant damages or duties if unresolved. Researches and writes claims and protests to CBP to resolve issues related to duties, taxes, and valuation, obtaining refunds or tendering duties, and processing in FTN online billing in accordance with FedEx procedures. Gathers information from FedEx/FTN systems for reports and trend analysis.
Requirements include a high school diploma/GED, with three years of business experience, including two related years preferred. Knowledge of CBP and OGA regulations, tariff schedules, import procedures, and systems is preferred. Must work accurately and productively in a time-sensitive environment, with excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills. Paid training is provided.
This role is remote in Memphis initially, with more in-office work later based on company policy. The shift is 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm.
