It’s a big ask, but it’s one that we have the power to deliver when we work together. We collaborate and innovate – pushing one another to transform not just Pacific Life, but the entire industry for the better.

Why? Because it’s the right thing to do. Pacific Life is more than a job, it’s a career with purpose. It’s a career where you have the support, balance, and resources to make a positive impact on the future – including your own.

We’re actively seeking a talented Sr. Implementation Associate II to join our Sales Enablement and Implementation team in Omaha, NE or Newport Beach, CA.

As a Sr. Implementation Associate II, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by leading the successful implementation of complex Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) and Defined Contribution Lifetime Income (DCLI) transactions from point of sale through onboarding and transition to Pacific Life platforms. In addition to serving as a trusted implementation leader, you will drive strategic initiatives, own critical business processes, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and client experience across the Sales Enablement & Implementation (SE&I) organization. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of approximately 10 professionals in the Sales Enablement & Implementation (SE&I) team and will partner closely with Sales, Pricing, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams. We are a highly collaborative team focused on delivering exceptional client outcomes while continuously improving how we work and preparing the organization for future growth.

How you’ll help move us forward:
  • Lead all aspects of the onboarding process for complex PRT and DCLI transactions, ensuring successful implementation and transition to Pacific Life platforms.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for plan sponsors, consultants, prior recordkeepers, third-party administrators, and key internal stakeholders throughout implementation and ongoing support.
  • Own and continuously improve key SE&I processes by establishing best practices, documentation, controls, service standards, and governance to support growth and risk mitigation.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and projects that improve implementation capabilities, operational effectiveness, scalability, and client experience.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and mentor by sharing knowledge, training team members, and influencing outcomes across Sales, Pricing, Operations, Compliance, and Technology.
The experience you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of experience in retirement services, pension administration, implementation, project management, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience managing complex client implementations, onboarding projects, conversions, or retirement plan transitions.
  • Experience with Pension Risk Transfer (PRT), Defined Benefit plans, Defined Contribution Lifetime Income (DCLI), or institutional retirement products.
  • Build strong internal partnerships (Sales, Operations, Compliance, Pricing, etc.) enabling easy navigation of processes and ability to find quick resolution.
  • Outside-the-box thinking with strong problem-solving skills; ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects, manage competing priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while leveraging expertise to influence decisions and mentor others.
What makes you stand out:
  • Experience establishing service-level agreements, governance frameworks, operational controls, or scalable implementation practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Copilot, and experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to increase productivity, improve decision-making, automate routine work, and enhance client outcomes.
  • Experience serving as a team lead, mentor, or subject matter expert within a client-facing or operations-focused organization.
