Ferretti Search is partnering with a family-owned global manufacturer in the medical devices/consumables realm, to hire a Sr. IBM i (AS/400) Developer. In this role you’ll own Infor LX ERP customizations, drive production-planning and supply-chain integrations, and mentor a junior developer..

Senior iSeries Developer

Location: Remote (quarterly one-week travel to Newton, NC)

Compensation: $120,000 to $140,000 total compensation (inclusive of base / bonus)

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match [4.5% employer for 6% employee], paid vacation and holidays, flex time.

What will your day look like?

• Design, code, and test RPG III/IV/ILE and CL scripts for Infor LX ERP enhancements
• Develop and troubleshoot embedded SQL jobs and supply-chain integrations with modern warehouse systems
• Review and optimize existing green-screen 5250 menus and Windows UI panels for efficiency
• Translate functional requirements from business teams into technical specifications
• Produce clear documentation: code comments, change logs, run books, and user guides
• Mentor a junior iSeries developer through cross-over support and knowledge transfer

Who are you?

• ERP Developer: 5+ years of IBM iSeries (AS/400) development in a manufacturing or production-planning environment
• Language Pro: Expert in RPG III/IV/ILE, CL, and embedded SQL
• Infor LX Savvy: Hands-on experience customizing BPCS or Infor LX modules
• Technical Communicator: Strong written and verbal skills for gathering requirements and training colleagues
• Degree or Equivalent: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent IBM i experience
• Bonus Creds: Exposure to Profound UI or other IBM i web-service integrations; Asset 4GL background
