The University of Miami/UHealth Facilities has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Sr. HVAC Mechanic to work at the UHealth Medical Campus. The Sr.

HVAC Mechanic inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains HVAC systems, circuits, and equipment to ensure that facility operations run smoothly and uninterrupted. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, a Miami-Dade County Journeyman license, and a Florida driver's license.

• Valid license from Miami Dade County (Journeyman)
• Valid State of Florida Driver's License required

Responsibilities

• Inspects air conditioning and heating systems and performs general maintenance of work systems.
• Repairs plumbing and leaky equipment on roofs and ceilings.
• Maintains work areas and equipment rooms in a clean and safe condition.
• Receives and responds to requests for repair work.
• Keeps daily logs of work, performed and pending, updated.
• Cleans, maintains, and paints equipment and machinery to prevent deterioration.
• Repairs and advises on repairs beyond the mechanic’s ability.
• Prepares and maintains accurate records of equipment and facility preventative maintenance.
• Tests and evaluates equipment performance using appropriate tools.
• Inspects systems and ensures adherence to policies and safeguards assets.

• Maintains work areas and equipment rooms in a clean and safe condition at all times.

• Receives and responds to requests for repair work.

• Keeps daily logs of work, performed and pending, updated.

• Cleans, maintains, and paints equipment and machinery to prevent deterioration.

• Repairs plumbing and leaky equipment on roofs and ceilings.

• Advises appropriate managing staff of risk factors and repair needs beyond the mechanic’s ability.

• Prepares and maintains accurate records of equipment and facility preventative maintenance.

• Tests and evaluates equipment performance using appropriate tools.

• Inspects air conditioning and heating systems and performs general maintenance of work systems.

• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
