Job Description

The Senior Human Resources (HR) Manager at Grace leads HR initiatives at the Curtis Bay manufacturing site, promoting a positive culture, staff development, and operational excellence. This role involves overseeing talent acquisition, employee development, labor relations, and fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead union contract negotiations and ensure manufacturing continuity.
  2. Support site safety programs to ensure a safe workplace.
  3. Promote organizational culture and employee engagement.
  4. Collaborate on organizational strategies aligned with business goals.
  5. Provide HR leadership on talent management, change management, and employee relations.
  6. Align HR strategies with global and regional objectives.
  7. Coordinate HR service delivery, including payroll and benefits.
  8. Manage grievances and prepare for arbitrations and disputes.
  9. Use HR systems to analyze workforce data and improve HR programs.
Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business, or related field.
  2. 10+ years HR experience with increasing responsibility.
  3. 5+ years as an HR Manager in manufacturing.
  4. Experience in union environments, labor relations, and negotiations.
  5. Proven ability to foster employee engagement and positive relations.
  6. Strong relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
  7. Ability to lead change initiatives effectively.
Physical Requirements and Environment
  1. Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, and wearing PPE.
  2. Willingness to wear PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and respirators.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably SAP SuccessFactors.
