Job Summary: The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and compliance. In addition, the HR Generalist will support Mesa's human capital needs, acting as a primary point of contact for employees and assisting managers with HR-related matters and ensuring a compliant work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on HR policies, and mediating disputes.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Use our ATS Clear Company to manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
- Benefits Administration: Manage enrollment, open enrollment periods, and troubleshooting benefits-related issues.
- Compensation and Payroll: Assist with payroll processing, managing salary adjustments, job changes, and ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs, developing and delivering training programs, and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Performance Management: Support the leadership team with performance evaluations, providing guidance on performance improvement plans, conducting exit interviews as needed and uploading any documents to the employee profile in ADP.
- Compliance: Ensure the company complies with employment laws and regulations, including labor laws, wage and hour laws, and anti-discrimination laws.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate HR records and employee records, updating HR systems, and generating reports as requested.
- Employee Engagement: Implement and manage employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, equivalent industry related experience
- Prior experience in HR required
- Understanding of core HR functions, such as staffing, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws, regulations and payroll practices
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and active-listening skills
- Familiarity with HRIS software, such as ADP Workforce Now, and other relevant technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
