Qualifications

• HT or HTL certification is required.
• 1–2 years of industry experience in a clinical or research setting.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Tissue processing, embedding, trimming to required thickness with accuracy.
• Support accessioning, frozen sections, grossing, fixation, dehydration, embedding, microtomy, decalcification, coverslipping, and H&E staining.
• Run IHC protocols on Leica Bond III and Ventana systems and assist with assay setup and troubleshooting.
• Operate and troubleshoot Leica Bond III and Roche Ventana platforms to maintain workflow.
• Verify controls, assess staining quality, and maintain accuracy across steps.
• Scan slides and ensure image clarity for downstream analysis.
• Follow OSHA, CAP, HIPAA, and internal safety standards.
• Support efficient lab operations and a collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

• Tissue Processing & Microtomy — Embed, trim, and section tissue at required thicknesses with accuracy and consistency.
• Support accessioning, frozen sections, grossing assistance, fixation, dehydration, embedding, microtomy, decalcification, coverslipping, and routine H&E staining.
• Run IHC protocols using Leica Bond III and Ventana systems; assist with assay setup, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Leica Bond III and Roche Ventana platforms to ensure smooth workflow.
• Verify control slides, assess staining quality, and maintain high accuracy across all steps.
• Scan slides and ensure image clarity for downstream analysis.
• Follow OSHA, CAP, HIPAA, and internal safety standards.
