Job description

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Highway Project Manager who can provide client management and design and construction administration of roadway / highway projects. There will also be a requirement to manage, direct, and supervise the work efforts of assigned staff and coordinate the technical and managerial direction provided by Management regarding scope, schedule, quality and budget of the projects. This position also requires the ability to manage clients and develop new business.

Responsibilities

1. Handle all aspects of a project.
2. Lead, coach, and mentor multidisciplinary teams.
3. Work remotely with team members across multiple locations.
4. Understand the federal-aid project delivery process.
5. Possess knowledge of MicroStation, ORD, and/or other relevant transportation design and analysis software, guides, and manuals.
6. Align their practices and processes with company strategic objectives.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
2. Minimum of 10 years of relevant transportation design experience.
3. Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in FL or be able to be licensed in FL.
4. Previous experience managing multi-discipline projects of a unique nature on fast-track schedules.
5. Ability to coordinate and manage a large team of subconsultants.
6. Working knowledge of highway geometry, utility coordination, drainage design, traffic control, ITS design, signing and pavement markings and signalization design, environmental permitting and experience working with FDOT and other major municipalities and transportation agencies in FL is required.
7. Prior experience managing projects from planning through the conceptual phase to final design and construction.
8. Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
