About the Role:

We’re hiring a Hardware Recruiter on a contract basis (part-time or full-time) to lead searches for VC-backed startups and fast-growing companies in the hardware space. You’ll help teams hire for critical roles across mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering, using your industry expertise to understand technical needs, build trust with hiring managers, and create a thoughtful, high-touch candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with client's hiring managers to understand technical hiring needs and provide recruitment strategies to identify and attract high-quality candidates.
  • Leverage various sourcing methods to build a pipeline of qualified candidates, utilizing industry contacts, social media, job boards, and professional networks.
  • Conduct in-depth technical screening and assess candidates to ensure alignment with required qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Provide an exceptional client and candidate experience throughout the recruiting process, ensuring timely communication and transparency.
  • Maintain detailed records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track candidate progress and keep hiring managers looped in on progress.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical sourcing and recruiting, specializing in hardware roles (e.g. mechanical, electrical, systems, or manufacturing engineering).
  • A track record of success hiring for early-stage or scaling startups, especially in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments.
  • Strong understanding of recruiting best practices, sourcing techniques, and talent pipeline development.
  • Confidence working independently with hiring managers, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and nuanced hiring needs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to provide necessary documentation upon request.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience partnering with client in an agency environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing recruitment for complex, technical roles with niche skill sets.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Preference for candidates proficient with Ashby, Greenhouse, and Lever.
