Amazon Labs 126 is seeking a Sr Hardware Development Engineer to partner with ECAD and design teams in Cupertino, Seattle, or Austin. The role focuses on reviewing PCB designs with Allegro and CAM350, developing specs, verification plans, and test procedures to ensure robust hardware for cloud and enterprise apps.

You will work across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software teams in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the design and production transfer of large-scale server systems.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years hardware engineering experience.
• Experience with PCB designs and review using Allegro, CAM350.
• Proficient with I2C, SPI and UART interfaces.
• Collaborates with ECAD, thermal, mechanical, firmware teams.
• Strong documentation and test methodology skills.

Job Description

• 7+ years of hardware engineering experience
• Experience collaborating with the ECAD/physical board designer and able to review PCB designs with Allegro, CAM350, or equivalent
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
• 7+ years of experience with I2C, SPI, UART interfaces
• Experience interfacing with thermal, mechanical, firmware and software teams during product development

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout
• Experience in server technologies such as, thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity
• Experience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submissions
• Experience identifying and resolving complex issues
• Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability
• Experience in designing and developing large-scale services
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
• 10+ years of experience in server design for cloud or enterprise applications
• Strong organizational and planning skill
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
