Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Growth Manager based in the United States

This is a strategic commercial leadership opportunity for an experienced business development professional looking to shape market expansion in the livestock technology and agricultural innovation sectors. You will help establish and scale a growth strategy that combines direct sales to large dairy operations with development through an established partner ecosystem. The role involves identifying high-value opportunities, building trusted customer relationships, and translating farm needs into compelling business cases. You will also drive market development for innovative livestock solutions, validating demand and converting opportunities into sustainable revenue. Working closely with technical specialists, marketing teams, and business partners, you will help ensure solutions are commercially viable and successfully implemented. As the growth function evolves, you will have the opportunity to influence commercial strategy, establish scalable processes, and expand market reach across the United States.

Accountabilities
  • Develop strategic direct-sales opportunities: Identify, prioritize, and advance opportunities with large-scale dairy farms across the United States, initially focusing on Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Build account plans, map key decision-makers, develop compelling value propositions, and guide opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Build a repeatable growth strategy: Use insights and results from the initial regional focus to refine commercial approaches and establish a scalable framework for expansion into additional markets.
  • Grow the livestock technology business: Identify priority customer segments, relevant use cases, and market opportunities for innovative livestock solutions. Build customer relationships, validate demand, and generate qualified opportunities through direct and partner-led sales channels.
  • Develop partner relationships: Manage relationships with local business partners and dealers, aligning on commercial propositions, account strategies, capability development, and shared growth objectives.
  • Coordinate partner-led opportunities: Establish clear ownership, communication, and handoff processes to ensure effective collaboration and consistent delivery to dairy customers.
  • Convert opportunities into revenue: Translate customer needs and market insights into actionable commercial plans, advance qualified opportunities, and secure revenue-generating business.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with application specialists to understand farm operations and value drivers, partner with technical teams to assess feasibility and implementation requirements, and collaborate with marketing to build awareness and demand.
  • Develop compelling value cases: Connect customer challenges with relevant solutions, demonstrating potential business value and addressing practical implementation considerations.
  • Establish scalable commercial processes: Define and refine rules of engagement, opportunity ownership, collaboration practices, and handoff procedures across internal teams and external partners.
  • Strengthen CRM and pipeline visibility: Maintain disciplined CRM practices and reliable opportunity data, ensuring clear visibility into pipeline status, account ownership, next steps, and sales progress.
  • Capture market intelligence: Gather feedback from customers and partners, identify commercial barriers, and use lessons learned to improve sales strategies, partner engagement, and the overall growth model.
  • Support long-term market expansion: Align regional customer needs with broader partner strategies and contribute to the development of effective local and global commercial processes.
Requirements
  • Commercial experience: Approximately 8–10 or more years of experience in business development, strategic account management, direct sales, partner or channel management, or complex solution selling.
  • Relevant industry background: Experience in large-scale dairy operations, livestock technology, agricultural technology, farm equipment, or a related agricultural industry.
  • Business development expertise: Proven ability to identify and qualify opportunities, build new-market pipelines, develop strategic accounts, and convert complex opportunities into revenue.
  • Consultative selling: Strong skills in understanding customer needs, developing business cases, communicating value propositions, and navigating complex commercial sales processes.
  • Agricultural industry relationships: Experience working with dairy farmers, agricultural business partners, dealers, or other professionals in the dairy and livestock ecosystem.
  • Strategic account planning: Ability to prioritize high-potential customers, map decision-making structures, build account strategies, and develop long-term commercial relationships.
  • Partner and channel management: Experience developing partner relationships, coordinating joint sales opportunities, and establishing clear expectations for collaboration and delivery.
  • Commercial judgment: Strong business acumen, sound decision-making, and the ability to assess market potential, prioritize opportunities, and balance customer needs with revenue objectives.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical, customer-facing, and marketing teams to advance opportunities and support successful implementation.
  • Pipeline and CRM management: Strong organizational skills and a disciplined approach to maintaining accurate opportunity data, forecasting, and tracking next steps.
  • Communication and influence: Excellent relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to engage effectively with farmers, partners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: A pragmatic, proactive, and adaptable approach, with the ability to build processes, test new commercial approaches, and operate effectively in an evolving growth organization.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, animal science, technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent relevant professional experience will also be considered.
  • Travel flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel throughout the United States to meet customers, visit farms, collaborate with partners, and develop commercial opportunities.
Benefits
