Role:

The Sr Great Plains Developer plays a key role in designing, developing, testing, and supporting the entire Great Plains ERP environment. The developer implements strategies and best practices to create automated solutions for complex business processes.

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Great Plains Developer, Sr with a strong background in software development and a passion for optimizing ERP systems. The ideal candidate will have a college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience, along with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains development. This role involves developing and maintaining integrations, customizations, and providing daily support for multiple Great Plains instances.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and implement customized solutions for Microsoft Great Plains to meet business needs.
• Design and manage integrations between Microsoft GP and other business applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft Great Plains and its integrations.
• Maintain and enhance existing customizations, ensuring compatibility with updates and new versions.
• Document developed solutions, including technical specifications and user manuals.
• Provide support and training to end-users as needed.
• Stay current with trends and best practices in Microsoft Dynamics GP development and ERP solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Microsoft Great Plains development.
• Proficiency in Dexterity, SQL Server, and SQL query writing.
• Experience with Great Plains integrations, reporting tools, and third-party applications.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and ERP functionalities.
• Knowledge of .NET framework and C# programming is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Dynamics GP certification.
• Familiarity with data migration processes and ETL tools.
• Knowledge of business process modeling and improvement techniques.
