Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Manager of Global Strategic Sourcing & Procurement to lead enterprise sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives across a global manufacturing footprint. This individual will help consolidate procurement strategies across historically independent sites and create greater leverage across suppliers, materials, and contracts.
The role will support approximately 7–8 manufacturing sites and will focus heavily on direct material spend, supplier consolidation, contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and measurable cost reduction.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role that will partner with site procurement teams, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Commercial, and other business leaders. The position will initially operate through influence and dotted-line relationships rather than direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global sourcing and procurement strategies across multiple manufacturing sites, driving supplier consolidation, purchasing leverage, and improved commercial terms.
- Lead sourcing strategies for polymers, resins, purchased components, packaging, tooling, and outsourced manufacturing services, with a focus on direct-spend cost reduction.
- Lead RFQs, bid evaluations, supplier negotiations, and contract agreements with domestic and international suppliers.
- Evaluate total landed cost, including material pricing, freight, duties, inventory, tooling, lead times, qualification costs, and supply risk.
- Develop preferred supplier strategies and identify alternate or dual-sourcing opportunities to improve cost and supply continuity.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on alternate materials, supplier changes, standardization, and value-engineering initiatives.
- Support new product and customer quotations by securing competitive supplier pricing.
- Partner with Finance to measure and validate realized savings and purchasing improvements.
- Establish consistent sourcing processes across manufacturing sites while building strong relationships with local procurement teams and influencing decisions without direct authority.
- Monitor supplier cost, capacity, delivery, and supply-chain risk.
