Job summary

Integral Federal is seeking a Sr GIS Web Engineer to design, develop, and optimize GIS-driven web mapping solutions for VA. You will work on cemetery mapping, data pipelines, and geospatial integrations within a secure environment.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience in web GIS, ESRI tooling, and JavaScript/TypeScript with CI/testing in Agile teams. Expect collaboration across GIS data engineers and VA API layers in a large federal program.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in computer science or an IT-related degree with 7-10 years' experience.
Experience developing web mapping applications, geospatial visualizations, and spatially enabled systems.
Experience integrating GIS services, APIs, ETL pipelines, and authoritative geospatial data sources.
Experience with enterprise GIS (ESRI, ArcGIS Online/Portal), mapping libraries, and spatial databases.
Experience working in Agile environments and supporting CI and automated testing.
Demonstrated production web application development + GIS; web mapping APIs/SDKs; spatial services; JavaScript/TypeScript; REST; responsive UX; spatial data; automated testing.

Overview

The Sr GIS Web Engineer responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and optimizing GIS driven web mapping capabilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Product Delivery Services (PDS), Benefits and Memorials (BAM), Memorial and Benefit Services (MBS) deliver secure, reliable, and effective Information Technology (IT) solutions that support the Department's mission.

Salary Range: $131,000 - $158,000

This role is in the proposal stage. The above salary range represents a general guideline. Integral Federal considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
