Job summary

PetroSea in Idaho is seeking a Geologist to provide geotechnical support to mine planning, mining operations, and ensure all planning is based on geotechnical assessment and field monitoring.

You will develop and produce standards in geotechnical related activities to ensure safe and environmentally reliable production, and maintain SHE programs in line with ISO and industry best practices.

Bachelor's degree in Geology; 2–3 years mining experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology required.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Geologist in mining industry.
• Familiar with Geology Model and Geotechnics software.
• Possess good communication and analytical skills.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written is an advantage.

Review and analyse geotechnical report from client included parameters and design specification and recommend necessary technical advice if required. Accurately designed specifications and recommended all of the necessary technical advices.

Develop geotechnical awareness for mine plan engineers and mining operations personnel related to proper process, implementation and safe operations. Document responsibility

Provide detail plan and recommendation, report and arrange schedule of geotechnical audit and implementation control with consultant and internal in order to develop geotechnical system applied properly. Geotechical system is well developed and applied properly.

Closely monitor work practices and face locations to ensure that operations are guided through any geological discontinuities or geo-technical complications that may affect mining performance. Operations are successfully guided through any geological discontinuities and complications.

Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained
