Job summary

Index Analytics LLC, based in Baltimore, seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build, enhance, and support cloud-based applications and data solutions across frontend, backend, and database layers.

You will turn business requirements into reliable, well-tested solutions, develop RESTful APIs, and create ETL/ELT pipelines to support analytics and operational use cases in Snowflake and AWS.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s acceptable with relevant experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in full stack development and data solutions.
  • Experience building full stack apps, RESTful APIs, and AWS-based solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, maintain, and enhance full stack applications and data solutions across front end, back end, and database layers.
  • Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs to enable integration between applications, data platforms, and enterprise systems.
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines for batch and near-real-time processing with performant transformations.
  • Develop and support data models and transformations in Snowflake.
  • Use Apache Airflow to orchestrate, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot pipelines and workflows.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps, and application teams to deploy and improve solutions in AWS.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake objects and deployments.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues in development and production, documenting root causes and resolutions.
  • Work in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions.

Working closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional partners, this person will turn business requirements into reliable, well-tested solutions; build and integrate RESTful APIs; and develop data pipelines and application workflows that support analytics and operational use cases.The engineer will contribute across the software development lifecycle, including technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake, ETL development, Apache Airflow orchestration, and AWS-based services. This role includes building and maintaining data integrations, supporting cloud deployments, improving data workflows, and helping ensure applications and pipelines are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.ResponsibilitiesBuild, test, maintain, and enhance full stack applications and data solutions across the front end, back end, and database layers.Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.Develop and consume RESTful APIs to support integration between applications, data platforms, and enterprise systems.Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines to support batch and near-real-time data processing, and implement data transformation workflows that are performant and maintainable.Develop and support data models, transformations, and workflows in Snowflake to enable scalable and efficient data processing.Use Apache Airflow to orchestrate, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines and automated workflows.Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to deploy, support, and improve solutions in AWS.Implement application and data pipeline features that integrate with relational databases and AWS services such as S3 and related cloud resources.Partners with Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps, and application teams to implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake objects and deploymentsMonitor and troubleshoot application, pipeline, and integration issues in development and production environments, and document root cause and resolution steps.Work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver application and data solutions that support business and user needs.US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust.Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or a Master’s degree with at least six (6) years of experience. Four (4) years of specialized experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.Experience building full stack applications using modern development frameworks, relational databases, and RESTful APIs.Experience with SQL and Python for application development, data processing, and integration tasks.Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows.Experience with Snowflake for data modeling, transformation, and query optimization.Experience using Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring.Experience supporting cloud-based applications and data solutions in AWS, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with analytics, application, and platform teams in an Agile environment.Prior experience with Center for Medicare Medicaid Services or other government agencies is a plus.Attention CandidatesWe're dedicated to ensuring a safe and transparent recruitment process for all candidates and have implemented robust measures to protect your personal information.
