Job description

As a Sr. FPGA Design Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be part of the Embedded Systems team responsible for the firmware and software at the core of our autonomy stack. Our team provides dependable computing, networking, signal processing, and motor control solutions to bring our aircraft to life. Your contributions will directly support the development of our flight computer and air-to-air RADAR, enabling higher-level capabilities and paving the way for product certification and market delivery.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, including peer reviews to ensure high product quality. Your work will include FPGA requirements, design, simulation, code synthesis, hardware integration, and testing support. You will contribute to multiple FPGA projects aligned with Reliable Robotics' long-term technology roadmap.

Basic Success Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of full-cycle electronics hardware development experience
  • Professional experience designing FPGA digital logic using standard industry tools
Preferred Success Criteria
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Proven product ownership experience, including development and field support
  • Experience with safety-critical FPGA development (e.g., DO-254 level A/B)
  • Experience with fixed-point DSP algorithms
  • Comfortable with agile, fast-paced development cycles
  • Results-oriented work approach
