Job summary

Connect Search, LLC in Chicago is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to collaborate with business leaders and senior management to prepare monthly/quarterly reporting packages that drive important business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance/FP&A.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders and senior management to prepare monthly/quarterly reporting packages that drive business decisions.
• Monitor and analyze monthly financial results; identify trends and budget variances; advise senior leadership of opportunities and risks.
• Provide value-added analytical management reporting, including ad hoc requests, to deepen understanding of cost changes and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts; create and maintain budgeting templates.
• Continuously improve and automate financial management processes and analytical tools to deliver reporting and budgeting.
• Drive cross-business standardization for FP&A processes.
• Build and enhance financial models to evaluate new business and revenue opportunities and expense reduction initiatives.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of internal cost allocation methodologies.
• Develop credibility and partnerships across the organization to facilitate efficiency and knowledge sharing.
• Manipulate large data sets to summarize for management reporting, determine results, or reveal trends.

The Sr. FP&A Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with business leaders and senior management to prepare monthly/quarterly reporting packages that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders and senior management to prepare monthly/quarterly reporting packages that drive business decisions.
• Monitor and analyze monthly financial results. Identify relevant trends and key drivers of budget variances. Advise senior leadership of opportunities and risk impacting the organization.
• Provide value-added analytical management reporting, including ad hoc requests, to help provide the organization with a deeper understanding of cost changes and help identify additional efficiency opportunities.
• Develop annual budget(s) and financial forecasts which will drive appropriate and timely decision making; create and maintain detailed budgeting templates.
• Continuously improve and automate financial management processes and analytical tools needed to deliver reporting and budgeting.
• Drive cross-business standardization for all FP&A processes.
• Build and enhance financial models to evaluate new business and revenue opportunities, and expense reduction initiatives.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of internal cost allocation methodologies.
• Develop credibility and build partnerships with key contacts across the organization to facilitate efficiency, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance/FP&A.

Required Skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Adaptive Insights experience is a plus.
• Strong grasp of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow financial statements along with the ability to analyze financial results and assess financial impacts of business decisions.
• Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
