Job summary

CONMED Corporation is seeking a Forklift Operator for the Distribution Center/Warehouse. You will direct, monitor, and optimize warehousing and distribution of materials or finished goods, including receiving, stocking, loading and unloading, and equipment operation.

You will perform daily equipment checks, assist with inventory, and support timely shipment while adhering to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures and work instructions.
• Experience with warehouse technology and RF scanning devices.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods from vehicles into correct storage bays following inventory control.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist inventory replenishment.
• Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance on forklift machinery.
• Assist with loading trucks and packing inventory for shipment as needed.
• Support compliance reviews and follow established policies.

Job description

As a Forklift Operator, in the Distribution Center/Warehouse area you are responsible for directing, controlling and monitoring of the warehousing and distribution of materials or finished goods. Responsible for receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy‑duty equipment. Plans the movement of materials to ensure the efficiency of warehouse operations.

Key Duties

• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles into correct storage bays following inventory control instructors.
• Inventory experience to conduct cycle counting
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.
• Load trucks in parcel on foot
• Assist in replenishing inventory in the warehouse.
• Occasionally assist in the picking and packing of inventory for timely shipment.
• Assist with regular compliance reviews against policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of related experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehousing environment required.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and RF Scanners.
• Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
• Ability to lift at least 49 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Operate pit equipment efficiently – cherry picker, reach, sit down, and clamp
