UCSF Health in Oakland is seeking a Food Service Associate to join the Nutrition & Food Services team. You will help stock, assemble and serve meals, ensure accuracy and timeliness, and maintain sanitation across service areas. Interaction with customers, patients and staff is essential, and you may handle cash transactions.

Flexibility to work at multiple UCSF Medical Center locations and basic computer skills are required; English literacy is essential.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

This person works as a team to provide food service that is safe, accurate, timely and responsive to the customer and patient's needs. Food service includes stocking, assembling, and serving portion controlled hot and cold food, replenishing and stocking stations, and general sanitation duties. This person may work in one of the following areas within Nutrition & Food Services. Retail Food Service includes serving, cashiering, bussing, and barista duties. Patient Food Services includes assembly and delivery of patient meal trays. This position may be responsible for responsible for cash, credit card and debit card transactions. This person maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the foodservice areas and equipment. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer, patient, and staff interactions and is looked upon as the ambassador for the department of Nutrition and Food Services.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

This person reports to the Supervisor, Food Services. This position does not oversee any employees. This position will take direction from Food Services Leads, Principal Food Service Workers in the Diet Office, DTRs, and Dietitians. If applicable, provide the number of employees and the jobs of the staff reporting to this job.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years of customer facing experience within the food service, hospitality or retail industries.
• Read, write, follow written or oral instructions and be understood in English.
• Basic computer skills.
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Ability to meet physical demands involved with job duties as outlined below.
