Job Profile Summary

Performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving foods and beverages in various food service environments. Serves in a lead capacity to guide junior staff.

Essential Functions

1. Assign and monitor work to ensure all food items are prepared correctly and within established time frames.
2. Ensure all items are prepared according to standardized recipes and methods.
3. Present food items to customers at proper temperatures with appropriate garnishments.
4. Cut and arrange desserts according to standards.
5. Wash, trim, cut, and pan meats and vegetables.
6. Store, seal, and label food for storage.
7. Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of equipment, utensils, and tableware.
8. Assist in organizing refrigerators, freezers, and storage rooms.

Job Description

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No

Licenses and Credentials: ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred.

Experience: 5-7 years of directly related experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Moderate physical effort, including standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds or more.

Additional Duties

Performs duties related to cafeteria service and sanitation, including serving customers, cleaning, polishing, sanitizing equipment, and operating the cash register. Responsible for handling money accurately.
