Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. in Flint, MI, is seeking a motivated Warehouse Lead to supervise and develop a team of warehouse associates. You will oversee shipping, receiving, inventory management, sequencing and material flow, while coaching staff on safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in warehousing or logistics.

• Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of warehouse associates while creating a positive and accountable work environment.
• Support day-to-day warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory management, sequencing and material flow.
• Coach employees on safety, quality, productivity and performance expectations.
• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflow, and customer service.
• Partner with management and support teams to resolve issues and keep operations running smoothly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements and customer standards.
• Assist with staffing, training, employee development and workforce planning.
• Communicate effectively with employees, leadership and customer representatives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve productivity, quality and overall operational performance.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Previous leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, transportation, retail, military, or other fast-paced operational environments
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree preferred but not required
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to grow into larger leadership opportunities
