Job summary

Revolution Technologies is seeking a Sr. Firmware Engineer to join a cross-functional team working on autonomous undersea systems for a DoD client. You will contribute to the next generation of AUVs, designing bare-metal firmware and low-level drivers for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.

The role requires DoD SECRET clearance at hire and U.S. citizenship. You will collaborate with hardware engineers and product teams to deliver robust firmware across peripherals and power-optimized implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience, or Master's with 6+ years.
• U.S. citizenship and DoD Secret clearance at hire; eligible for access to classified info.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement bare-metal firmware in C for ARM Cortex-M and other MCUs.
• Develop drivers and low-level interfaces for SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and timers.
• Profile and optimize firmware for performance, power, and memory constraints.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems architects, and product teams to translate requirements into firmware solutions.
• Utilize oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, SWD/JTAG for validation.

Job description

We are working with a DoD client that needs a Sr. Firmware Engineer for a project helping with their autonomous undersea systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the next generation of AUV systems.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience;
• OR Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
